LAS VEGAS - With venture funding in hand, ASC Billing Solutions Inc.
today announced a new name - Sentori (www.sentori.com) -
new market expansion into Europe and Asia and a new president, John Bennett.
Named after its innovative convergent billing and customer care software system,
Sentori, the company has built a customer base among IP and circuit switch-based
communications service providers. The new company name, strategy and branding
were unveiled at CTIA Wireless 2001. Chairman of the Board and CEO Vincent Vu announced that Sentori's plans for expansion into Europe and Asia, along with new senior management appointments, are based on recent first round venture funding led by Edison Venture Funds. "Sentori President Bennett is a respected company builder in the communications industry," said Vu. "He will help Sentori with market expansion, partnership alignments, product development and employee growth." Vu co-founded the company in 1994 in Laurel, Md. Part of the growing $6 billion billing and customer care software industry; Sentori has targeted the lucrative worldwide communications industry. Vu also announced the appointment of Ed Kaminski as vice president of sales, who will be leading the company's accelerated market penetration initiatives. This is part of the company's strategy to focus its sales efforts in IP and circuit-switched based communications providers with emphasis on VoIP in North America and wireless in Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Sentori in February 2001, Bennett served in a variety of roles for CMGI, and CMGI Solutions, including director of corporate strategy and vice president of business development. Kaminski previously served as vice president of sales for Newtonian Software, which was acquired by Clarify/Nortel. Also joining the management team is David Dague, vice president of marketing, who previously served as director of marketing for the global software products division of American Management Systems, Inc.
