Sentori Named OSS World 2002 Excellence Awards Finalist in Customer Success Story Category

 


Finalist Selection Based on Deployment of Sentori's Wireless Order Management and Provisioning System for Wireless Provider Digicel

 
  Laurel, MD - Sentori Inc. today announced its selection as a finalist in the "customer success story" category for Billing World and OSS Today's OSS World 2002 Excellence Awards. The award nomination comes from the successful deployment of Sentori 3G - a specialized platform incorporating Sentori's wireless Order Management and Provisioning System with the Sentori® Billing and Customer Care system - at Digicel, a leading GSM wireless provider of Jamaica.

The winners of each of nine categories will be announced at the 2002 Excellence Awards reception at TeleStrategies' OSS World 2002 Conference and Exhibition in San Diego, Calif., on Monday, Feb. 4.

Nominations were evaluated by Billing World and OSS Today magazine editors and a panel of industry experts including Sheridan Nye, editor, OSSWatch, RHK Inc.; Peter Giglio, vice president, Gerard Klauer Mattison (GKM); Rob Rich, executive vice president, The Yankee Group; Kornel Terplan, consultant and professor, Stevens Institute of Technology and Brooklyn Polytechnic University; and Edward J. Finegold, general partner, Stylus Telecommunications LLC.

  • A dramatic reduction in time for new customer activation from 15 minutes to seven minutes; and
  • in a highly prepaid user market, the Sentori System helped capture a 15 percent base of lucrative post-paid customers vs. the market average of 10 percent.
