  • Project Manager

Job Description

This Project Manager position will report to the Director of Program Management. This individual will drive multiple programs from project initiation through delivery, interfacing with customers on technical and business matters. Ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished and that each implementation team follows guidelines in relation to process, quality, prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Continuously monitor implemented projects, by frequently communicating with the client. Identifying issues and/or opportunities on implemented projects, and facilitate resolution.

Tasks

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing program, directs and coordinates program activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of program.

  • Develops project plan, work plans and staffing plan for each phase of project, and arranges assignment of project personnel to project phases. Specifies goals, strategies, identifies risks, and establishes contingency plans.

  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Ensure the project meets the contracted technical, delivery and quality requirements including hardware and software.

  • Reviews, reports on, and records activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objective and adapts methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.

  • Escalates project issues impacting project milestones, progress and/or project budget.

  • Responsible for ensuring client stays within the scope of the contracted work and manages change control procedures where necessary to manage project scope.

  • Obtains from customer, through customer satisfaction and acceptance testing, completion signoff on various project milestones, including, but not limited to, factory/functional acceptance, site acceptance, and final acceptance.

  • Ongoing coordination with Customer Support regarding the deployed project after handover when deployment is completed.

  • Periodically provide Sales group with effort estimates and project timelines for prospective client deployments.


Job Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or Engineering

  • 3-5 years of project management experience required

  • Experience in telecommunications and/or billing systems is required

  • Experience in commercial/industrial software development and deployment a plus

  • Knowledge of ++, Java and Oracle, PLSQL, SQL, Unix & Windows environments is beneficial but not mandatory

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Multi-lingual capability a plus
