Laurel, MD - Sentori, Inc. announced its selection as a finalist in the "most innovative billing product" category
for Billing Systems 2002 World Billing Awards, held in London, April 22-25, 2002. The award nomination comes from the
successful deployment of Sentori 3G - a specialized wireless platform that manages complex rating, billing, customer care
and revenue sharing business models across the content supply chain - for Banverket, the official operator for the
infrastructure of the Swedish railway network.
Nominations were collected and evaluated by a panel of industry experts including Hugh Roberts, Consultant Director,
IIR Telecoms; Chris Sanders, vice president and principal consultant, TMNG Europe; Teresa Cottam, head of publications and
research, Chorleywood Consulting; Alex Leslie, executive director, GBA; Trevor Dooley, news editor, Utility Week; and
Brendan Logan, managing partner, Logan-Orviss International.
"We are honored that the Sentori team and our 3G product were so highly recognized at the event," said Vincent Vu,
CEO and co-founder, Sentori. "Being named a 'Most Innovative Billing Product' finalist substantiates our presence in
an already competitive and rapidly growing 3G market."
With the first billing run successfully completed in January 2002, Banverket is utilizing the Sentori 3G system as an
enterprise solution for internal cost accounting management and network usage tracking. As Banverket continues to
build-out their GPRS infrastructure, the company is planning on leveraging the Sentori system as an integral solution
for the settlement of data/transaction-based services.
"The judges were impressed by the quality of the nominations," said Hugh Roberts, chairman, World Billing Awards Selection
Committee. "There were a remarkable number of projects like the Banverket /Sentori project put forward which were of
real substance."
