Second Round of Financing Leads to New Asian Office

 

Sentori Continues International Expansion

 
  Laurel, MD - Immediately following receipt of a second round of financing, Sentori Inc., an innovative provider of multi-service billing and customer care software solutions for the communications services industry, today announced the opening of the Sentori Asia-Pacific office in Singapore. With a record of profitability and operational excellence for the Sentori product suite, the company is utilizing the $3 million venture capital to continue its global sales and marketing efforts and accelerated product development.

The new Singapore office will enable Sentori to more closely establish ties with Asian-based strategic partners and 3G wireless service providers.

"The timing is right to bring the Sentori 3G platform to the Asia-Pacific market," said Vincent Vu, CEO, Sentori. "Given the explosive growth in wireless users and new 3G licenses in the region, this is a natural extension for Sentori to leverage its success in the Americas and Europe into the Asia-Pacific marketplace."

Followed by a $6 million A round of funding nearly two years ago, the second round was financed by venture firms including Edison Venture Fund of Lawrenceville, N.J.; Mid-Atlantic Venture Fund (MAVF) of Bethlehem, Pa.; Reston, Va.-based WWC Capital; and STI Ventures of Israel and the Netherlands. Edison, MAVF and STI are second-time investors with Sentori.

The Sentori 3G Billing and Customer Care solution meets the unique provisioning, mediation, customer care and billing needs of wireless service providers with features specifically tailored to accommodate 3G applications. The system addresses the complex customer care and billing requirements of 3G service providers offering multi-media content, location- and transaction-based services with such features as m-commerce micropayment. The solution also is designed to manage new revenue sharing business models across the content supply chain (carrier-content broker-content provider), unique to the 3G market.
