Sentori Power Rate is comprised of two functional sub-systems:
a real-time rating engine and a multi-mode billing engine in addition
to robust revenue assurance applications.
Real-Time Rating Engine
Sentori Power Rate features a real-time rating engine that automates
the collection and rating of call detail records
(CDRs)and Internet protocol
detail records (IPDRs). Fully and easily configurable,
the system is distinguished by high-speed performance and its re-processing
of rejected data. Functions of the rating engine include:
Call/Data Conversion
Sentori Power Rate's Call Conversion Manager (CCM) reads any type
of CDR/IPDR coming from a switch or router, converting it into a
generic format called unrated call details
(UCDs) that can be more rapidly processed. CCM accepts
file formats from multiple switch interfaces, including:
· Ericsson AXE-10 (GSM)
· Motorola Vanguard
· Siemens EWSD (GSM & PSTN)
· NetSpeak Gatekeeper
· Lucent 5ESS (GSM, CDMA &PSTN)
· Nortel DMS (PSTN), MTX (TDMA)
· Cisco AS5300 and catalysts
· NxNetworks 2200 and 3000 series
Call/Data Rating Through its Call Rating Manager (CRM), Sentori Power Rate reads
and processes UCD records from the CCM output to produce billable
rated records. Flexible and easy to use, CRM processes files with
minimal computation time, retrieving and applying information such
as rate plan values, contract detail, tax plans, and more to create
rated call detail records (RCDs).
Call/Data Loading
Sentori Power Rate's Call Loading Manager (CLM) uploads RCDs to
the Sentori system's Oracle relational database for rules-based
hand-off to the Sentori Billing Engine.
Revenue Assurance
Through its unique data reconciliation and recycling process, Sentori
Power Rate automatically detects, collects and reports on rejected
records, then recycles them back into the rating process, to dramatically
reduce revenue leakage and maximize "rateable, billable" revenue.
Multi-Mode Billing Engine
Sentori Power Rate's Bill Cycle Manager (BCM) handles the final
stage in the billing process -- generating invoices. BCM features
three modes of operation: inspection, commit and on-demand. The
inspection mode allows providers to inspect invoices before presentment
to detect any errors or inconsistencies, then correct and re-generate
invoices as needed. The commit mode then automatically updates billing
information to the general ledger and queues the system for the
billing run. On-demand billing enables providers to create invoices
upon request for a specific account. When billing is completed,
BCM generates a statistical report in either raw data or graphical
format, and produces invoices in HTML or XML format for easy online
access and viewing by CSRs.
